I think every year the celebration of love becomes more than romance, especially as I get older and watch my son grow. It becomes about kissy-faces with my son. I want to teach him that I don't need Valentine's Day to be the day I tell him I love him or his dad. I tell them both everyday. But one day he will like a girl (not for another 20 years), and I think being romantic is a sweet thing. I think I mentioned this last year, but I started this tradition with him where we get a rose for all the ladies in our lives. We drive around all day and drop a rose off to all of them. I think it's the simplest thing that puts a smile on everyone's face, and when Matthew sees how it makes them happy I only hope that it's something he will remember and cherish forever.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind getting spoiled or a dinner out, this mama doesn't go out much anymore! Do you have any plans?
Lovely photo shoot, what a precious little boy! thanks for sharing,
