I've always loved a shift dress. It's always in style no matter the season and a classic staple in any wardrobe. It's the style I buy most often because of it's versatility. The allover tile texture adds dimension to a solid-color dress in a retro shift silhouette that's polished off with wide folded cuffs.
If you're looking for a shift dress, I've listed the best type of shift dress based on your body type.
If you're looking for a shift dress, I've listed the best type of shift dress based on your body type.
- Pear shape: If you fall in this category and you know that this shape tends to have a wider lower body and a smaller upper body, with narrow shoulders and small breasts. Focus on a shift dress with an A-line cut, empire waist or flared skirt.
- Apple shape: I consider myself in this category. The problem area with this shape is the belly. So a shift dress like I'm wearing above will skim through the belly area and accentuate the chest or legs. I stay away from a boxy shape or tight shift dress and these will let that belly stand out.
- Hourglass shape: I kinda hate you cause I wish I had your shape. Who's with me? Grab a shift dress that will accentuate your hips. I'd keep the length at knee or just above knee length to avoid making your thighs look big.
Have a I missed a shape that you may be curious about? Let me know, I'd be happy to help.
Love this dress👍👏
